LCS Robotics Finishes 2nd IN state championship

The LCS Robotics team finished 2nd in the Mississippi FIRST Tech Challenge 21-22 Season Championship!

The team was also awarded the Think Award for “removing engineering obstacles through creative thinking.”

Team member Bella Lane was selected as a Dean’s List Finalist. This is a major honor for her, the robotics team, and for LCS.

Only 3 students from the state of Mississippi were selected as Finalists. Bella will advance to the final round of selections to determine the 2022 Dean’s List Award Winners. If selected as Dean’s List Award Winner, she will receive several prizes including an expense-paid invitation to the FIRST Dean’s List Award Summit at FIRST headquarters in Manchester, NH.

The students who earn any FIRST Dean’s List Award status are great examples of student leaders who have led their teams and communities to increased awareness for FIRST and its mission. These students have also achieved personal technical expertise and accomplishment, doing things that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community. These individuals will continue, post-award, as great leaders, student alumni, and advocates of FIRST.

Congratulations to the LCS Robotics students, sponsors, and parents!
