Weekly Happenings (September 30 – October 4) 

 Grandparents Day:  On Friday, October 4, grandparents are invited to come and share a wonderful time of fellowship with their grandchildren, their grandchildren’s classmates and school staff.  Grandparents will also enjoy an assortment of food with their grandchildren.  (Students will still need to bring a lunch if they have not ordered Kids Cafe.) After grandparents have eaten they will visit their grandchild’s classroom.  Afterward, children may leave with their grandparents OR stay in their classroom.  Students who don’t leave with their grandparents will be dismissed at 2:00.  At that time, your child may go to Extended Care.  The following  times are when grandparents will eat with their grandchildren:

1st ………………10:00-10:45

2nd ……………..11:00-11:45

 3rd and 4th……12:00-12:45

                                                                     5th and 6th……..1:00-1:45


Grandparents Day: Parents are asked to send their food item on the morning of Grandparents Day with their child’s grade written on the top of the DISPOSABLE CONTAINER.  PTO representatives will be available to take your food item in the carpool line at Morning Drop Off.  See Class Assignments in the PTO News to know what to bring. (PTO News was sent home last week.)

Afternoon Carpool Line:  1st – 3rd Grade Carpool parents please drive through the Highland Parking Lot and follow the standard carpool route even when you are early, so that 7th Avenue does not get blocked.  If you come after 2:45 please understand that you will be at the end of the 4th – 6th grade carpool line.

9 Weeks Exam Schedule for 6th Grade:  Tuesday, October 8:  Math, Reading

Wednesday, October 9:  Science or Social Studies, English

Thursday, October 10:  Bible
